Friday morning Erin and I learned that our doctors would like for her to deliver Owen on Tuesday, April 24th.

That came as quite a shock! We were uncomfortably prepared for an early May delivery…a good 3-4 weeks away. But the team at MCV has decided that the best medical chance for Owen is a delivery at 36 weeks.
Any earlier and prematurity would have compounded his problems…any later and his lungs will definitely be too small for his body. The funny thing is, going into the meeting we were under the impression that no medical hope was there…now there is a shred…or a mustard seed if you’d like to think of it that way.

So mark your calendars and say your prayers. The next handsome Greene man to fill this house will be arriving in 9 short days.

    Dear Robert and Erin,

I am Cheryl Hollifield’s sister and she has been keeping me updated with your situation. I have been praying for you all and your sweet baby boy over the last few months and I am so glad to see how the Lord has answered our prayers. I will be thinking of you all on Tuesday.

    God Bless you! =)

[…] In fact, do me a favor and pray right now… I know that I have a tendency to forget all the things people ask me to pray about… so, just stop reading, close your eyes, and petition the King of Kings to rule over his creation and bring perfect health to young Owen Greene (aka, “the next handsome Greene man“).
